wall unit   We constructed this wall unit based on a photograph our client spotted in a magazine. She made some minor changes and we added lighting to set it off.

kitchen   All wood construction, new cabinets and doors adorn this kitchen. We also added a full granite backsplash. Prior to installation we like to have our customers select their granite at a local granite warehouse.

kitchen remodel   Custom wood made cabinets with black granite highlight this kitchen. Stainless steel tiles were inserted on each side of the drop in cook top. All glass cabinets have lights with easily accessible dimmer switches. Above the kitchen, Inverted crown molding and rope lighting. The perfect kitchen to entertain guests.

kitchen remodel   New cabinets, marble, sink, and appliances compliment this kitchen. Originally, this kitchen was closed off with a laundry room at the bottom left corner. The laundry room was moved and the kitchen was opened up. This transformed the look of the entire unit. Dimmer switches provide a grat deal of light.

pocket door   Open kitchens are a growing trend. Before our renovation the kitchen had a single 30 inch opening with a pocket door and no views. The kitchen now has a wonderful view of the water and a nice bar top area.

wood doors   To save money the customer decided to keep their cabinet boxes and reface the doors. We installed all new wood doors and painted them with a fine finish spray. We also installed a attached a green sea glass to the backsplash. A step-up on the granite was added and the cabinets above were removed. This opened up the kitchen and added great views of the water from the dining room which were not available prior to demolition.

electronic blind   This kitchen remodel was the complete vision of our customer. A combination of hand drawings and photographs from magazines made her visions a reality. Everything in this kitchen is custom made, from the stainless steel posts that hold up the 2nd tier on the island to the hidden electronic blind that drops down to seperate rooms. If you can dream it we can build it! Island Contracting & Remodeling, Inc. is up to the task.

flooring   This kitchen was opened up and the ceiling height was increased. A new soffit was built which allowed for new lighting. All new custom made cabinets with shaker style wood doors were installed. The flooring was a cherry engineered hardwood floor. The granite was an exotic green with a full backsplash. The top of the center island was a teak wood.

mini canned lights   Colaboration with our customers is a high priority. This wall unit was no exception. After construction the entire wall unit was hand sanded and sprayed with an oil base paint to a fine finish. We also incorporated some mini canned lights on the top soffit and put them on dimmer switches.

Hand built, all wood construction. This wall unit has crown molding which runs through the custom built window boxes. The wall unit was hand sanded and then a fine oil based finish was applied.

wine cooler   We began by opening up the kitchen and creating a new peninsula shown at the bottom right of this photograph. We refaced the kitchen added new doors and installed new drawers with easy slide systems. New boxes we built were for the double ovens and microwave. We also installed a new wine cooler. The back splash behind the cook top was new. We installed new 20 inch x 20 inch porcelain tile.

marble floors   All the wallpaper for this foyer was selected by customer and installed by us. Marble floors were brought back to life by refinishing them. The soffits were built-out in order to install new mini canned lights which accent the wallpaper and artwork.

Our customer wanted to change a master closet into a dressing/makeup area. The base cabinets are 21 inches deep with two recessed towers placed on top of marble. Before the top two towers were installed a solid piece of marble was installed over the base cabinets. All cabinets are finished on the inside with polyurethane. The entire project is custom built from solid wood and sprayed with oil paint in a fine furniture finish. A picture framed mirror was then inserted in the center between the towers.
